What are the operating hours?
We are open Monday - Friday from 7am - 6pm. We cannot accept children arriving earlier and we do charge late pick up fees. We are only closed major holidays (click here for our center calendar) and for severe weather related events.
What forms do I need to enroll my child?
Enrollment is not guaranteed until we receive the registration form and deposit fees. We do not “hold” spots and will take the next family ready to offer their forms and deposits. If you put down a deposit and decide not to enroll, the deposit becomes non-refundable; otherwise, the deposit will be subtracted from your first weeks tuition charges. In addition, your child cannot begin until we have all state required paperwork - this includes the Health Inventory, Parent’s Guide to Regulated Child Care, and the Emergency Form.
When is tuition due?
Tuition is due the Monday of each week, late payment charges are assessed after 5 days of non-payment. NO EXCEPTIONS! A lobby deposit box is available for check/cash payments, credit cards (Visa/ MC) must be swiped in the office. Advance payments (bi-weekly, monthly) are welcomed.
What is your illness policy?
We have a 24-hour symptom free policy (fever, diarrhea, vomiting, etc). Do not give your child medication and send them in for care as we will call for immediate pickup at the first sign of any returning symptoms. This policy is for the safety and well-being of all children in our care as well as keeping our staff healthy.
How will you keep my child safe?
All staff are fingerprinted and background checked as a term of employment. Our teachers and aides are CPR and first aid trained; in addition, many staff members have their 90-hour and 45-hour OCC certificates. Tendercare has a video surveillance system installed in all classrooms, on the playgrounds, in the parking lots, and surrounding the building that is frequently monitored for activity. We also have several policies in place such as no flip-flops or crocs and peanut-butter free tables.
Do you accept POC?
At this time, we do not accept purchase of care vouchers.
Do you provide meals?
We provide breakfast for our toddlers - elementary school age children provided your arrival is before 8:15am for children in classrooms up through PreK and prior to 8:00am for elementary school age students.
My child does not nap, do you have non-napping option?
While we cannot make a child sleep, we do require all children to lay quietly on a cot. We have found that most children will eventually drift off to sleep; however, when this is not the case as long as they can lay nicely without disturbing other children it isn't a concern.
When will my child move to the older classroom?
Typically we use the months of May - August to graduate our students to the next age-appropriate classroom when there are openings. There may be instances however, during the course of the year that children meet the age and readiness to move to the next classroom should an opening be available; however, this will be discussed between the director, classroom teachers and parents.
What is your CCPS elementary school district?
We are districted for Bayview Elementary via bus; however, we do provide private transportation (extra charges apply) via our transit vehicles to North East Elementary School and as well as The Tome School.
