Summer Youth Camp Ages 6 - 11

Our TLC Summer Camp is OPEN!  Please use the links on this page to register for camp.

Campers enjoy daily arts, crafts, music, games, computers, and more. Special guests will have them entertained with a variety of programming, field trips are always a big hit and participating in our summer camp movie production is always the highlight of our summer activities!  NOTE:  Field Trips and Guests are cancelled for this summer in light of the Coronavirus concerns.

Camp Hours:  7:00am - 6:00pm

Weekly Tuition:  $160 per week ($20 weekly deposit required)

Note: Field Trips and Movie Week have an additional charge, please check the registration form for pricing.

Want to know what life was like before your time?  This week we will party like it’s the 20s, live the American dream in the 50s, rock out in the 80s, and go grunge for the 90s.

SUMMER CAMP WEEK 1

LOST IN SPACE

Blast off into space this week to learn about our solar system and what it takes to be an astronaut! This week we’ll use Google Earth to see our planet from space, eat like an astronaut, and find out what makes our galaxy unique.

BUSY BUILDERS

See what it means to be an architect and build the crazy buildings and landmarks you see around the world. This week campers will create their own blueprints and build structures using a number of materials.

SAVE THE EARTH: SUSTAINABILITY

Go green! Campers will learn what it means to live a sustainable life and find creative ways to help our Earth. We’ll learn about the impact of climate change and how to reduce their carbon footprint.

SUMMER CAMP WEEK 4

ASPIRING ARTISTS AND MARVELOUS MUSIC

Campers will learn about the history of art and music and how it is incorporated in art in music today. This week will focus on all forms of art (painting, sculpting, even graphic design!) and how music is created to be able to write their own song.

SUMMER CAMP WEEK 5

THEATRE AND MOVIES 101

This week campers will learn the ways of live theatre and movie making in order to film a movie of their own! They will learn about the different roles as well as write their own scripts for a play and a mini movie.

Note: Although it's not required, we HIGHLY suggest that you attend this week if you are interested in "actively" participating in our Movie Week the week of July 20.

LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION! - MOVIE WEEK

TLC Lighthouse Campers star in their own original movie! Campers will practice and film a movie all week and watch their masterpiece on Friday.

SUMMER CAMP WEEK 7

UP FOR THE CHALLENGE?

Who will win? Each day campers will compete in team and individual challenges to win the ultimate prize. They will race to the finish, solve riddles and puzzles and do all it takes a minute in order to win.

SUMMER CAMP WEEK 8

WONDERFUL WORLD OF DISNEY

Wrap up the summer learning about the original mouseketeer. Campers will learn about how Disney came to be and how Disneyland, Disney World, and all the movies and shows came together.

SUMMER CAMP WEEK 9

ANTHROPOLOGY & OSTEOLOGY

This week we will major in Anthropology and minor in Osteology. Anthropology is the study of humans by looking at present to ancient material remains. Osteology is simply the study of bones. We will begin our journey in prehistoric times by focusing on deciphering caveman hieroglyphics and then using them to write our very own stories. Throughout the rest of the week we will learn about the human skeletal structure and then create self skeletal portraits. We will end by completing a 3D dinosaur puzzle and participate in an archaeological dig.

FITNESS & NUTRITION

This week campers will learn how important it is to take care of our bodies.  We will learn the importance of water, eating healthy food and will participate in a daily workout exploring different styles of fitness.

TLC NAILED IT

We are ending the summer with our very own nailed it week!  Campers will learn how to make and create their very own baking creations.  We will even have some decorating challenges!
